Maxim Healthcare Services Releases a Revised Code of Conduct
COLUMBIA, MD (September 22, 2011) –Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc., an established provider of home healthcare, medical staffing, and wellness services, recently released a revised Code of Conduct, as part of the enhanced comprehensive Compliance and Ethics Program, which supports the delivery of ethically-based, quality patient care that is consistent with federal and state regulations.
The Code of Conduct (the Code) has been revised to better align with Maxim Healthcare’s new mission, vision, and core values and is a commitment to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. The Code is a foundation that every director, officer, employee, subcontractor, agent, and contractor of Maxim Healthcare is responsible for knowing, understanding, and adhering to at all times.
“In order to truly live our mission, vision, and values, we must also all be committed to a firm adherence to ethical business practices, and to clinical, legal, and regulatory standards,” said Chief Compliance Officer Jacqueline Baratian. “Maxim Healthcare’s Compliance and Ethics Program, along with the Code will sustain a culture where honest and ethical conduct is demanded, respected, and exemplified each and every day at Maxim Healthcare.”
Accompanying the release of the revised Code is a video highlighting its importance. The video can be found on http://www.maximhealthcare.com/compliance/code-of-conduct-video/ and features Baratian and other Maxim Healthcare leadership and employees, who speak about the value of compliance and what compliance and the Code of Conduct means to each of them.
“The Code lays the framework and foundation for the way we work and how we provide care,” said Chief Executive Officer Brad Bennett. “The Code is a solemn agreement that holds us accountable to making the right choices, each and every day, and helps each employee make strong decisions based on good judgment.”
Maxim Healthcare’s revised Code has been released among a series of comprehensive enhancements to the Company’s Compliance and Ethics Program and reforms aimed at improving the Maxim Healthcare's compliance standards. These reforms were initiated with the appointment of Bennett as Chief Executive Officer in 2009 and continued with the appointment of Baratian as Chief Compliance Officer in 2010.
