Community Outreach

Not only are we committed to the health and well-being of our patients, we are also committed to healthy, thriving communities. That is why we encourage our employees to volunteer their time and talents and respond to the needs of the cities, towns and neighborhoods in which we work and live.

Maxim Charitable Foundation (MCF):
Maxim Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, separate from Maxim Healthcare Services. MCF provides relief and financial assistance to our employees who may be poor, distressed, disadvantaged or underprivileged. The foundation is funded by employee donations, our business partners and individuals within the communities we serve. We have assisted individuals through some of the most difficult times of their lives, such as natural disasters, fire and the loss of a loved one. To make a tax deductible donation to MCF, visit our secure, online site

We have formed working partnerships with charitable organizations such as:

American Red Cross:
A vital piece to emergency and disaster response, the American Red Cross touches millions of lives every year through humanitarian aid and crisis outreach. Maxim has partnered with the American Red Cross to host blood drives at Maxim's headquarters in Columbia, MD, and has also held employee donation campaigns to assist during times of need.

Brigance Brigade Foundation:
The mission of the Brigance Brigade Foundation is to equip, encourage and empower people living with ALS.

Bringing Hope Home:
Bringing Hope Home is a non-profit organization that provides Unexpected Amazingness to local families with a cancer patient, through financial and emotional support. Through our Light of Hope Family Grant, we offer a one-time grant to pay essential household bills for these families.

Community Action Council of Howard County:
With a food bank and head start program, CAC-HC’s mission is to diminish poverty, enable self-sufficiency and advocate for low income families and individuals.

The Ronald McDonald House:
Ronald McDonald House Charities provide an opportunity for stability to families with a child facing medical hardship. Maxim's Columbia, MD, office supports the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore by organizing, funding, and deploying teams of Maxim volunteers to help the families residing there. Maxim has also held gift drives to help support families during the holidays.

Additional partnerships include: Goodwill, House of Ruth, Boys Hope Girls Hope, Miami Project/Buoniconti Fund (finding a cure for paralysis), SPCA of Maryland, Howard Hospital Foundation, SOAR Baltimore, Year Up, Vehicles for Change, Opportunity Builders, Howard County Community College and the First Tee Programs for Baltimore and Howard County.
