Maxim Healthcare Services is celebrating its 30-year anniversary during the month of September.
Established as a healthcare staffing company in 1988 in Towson, Maryland, Maxim has since expanded to provide a comprehensive suite of home healthcare, behavioral care, healthcare staffing, personal caregiving, population health and wellness solutions. The company has more than 200 offices in over 40 states and the District of Columbia. In 2017, Maxim served more than 50,000 patients and their families, as well as caregivers and customers.
Maxim's team of nurses, therapists and home health aides provide long-term and continuous care for patients with a variety of conditions and needs in the comfort of home. Teams work with patients, families and physicians to implement a plan that promotes clinical excellence and helps patients to maintain a fulfilling daily life.
"When you work with Maxim, you're connected to a network of local offices that have deep roots in each of the communities we serve, as well as access to the resources and expertise of one of the largest healthcare staffing and services companies in the nation," said Maxim CEO Bill Butz. "From patients, family members and job seekers to healthcare providers, managed care plans and major corporations, we're committed to providing the same personalized service we've offered for the past 30 years."
As the healthcare industry evolves, Maxim is committed to investing in new tools, technology and programs to better meet the needs of those it serves.
- Maxim recently introduced the MaximCare Mobile app, a user-friendly Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) solution that allows caregivers to record documentation, view their schedules and pick up assignments. Available on Android and Apple devices, the app creates greater efficiency, accountability and convenience for patients and caregivers.
- Earlier this summer, Maxim partnered with Leidos Health to develop a suite of healthcare products that will put actionable information in the hands of caregivers before entering a patient's home. These tools will allow community-based caregivers to balance the type, level and amount of care needed to improve health outcomes at a lower cost.
- The company's online Home Mechanical Ventilation (HMV) program prepares nurses for emergency management of home mechanical ventilation. The training program allows nurses to enhance their knowledge and skills to provide a level of service that meets the industry's highest standards.
Maxim has received several accolades including accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), certification for staffing from the Joint Commission and five Health Ethics Trust Compliance Best Practice awards. Staffing Industry Analysts has consistently ranked Maxim as one of the largest healthcare staffing firms in the United States.
