Mental Health Technicians with MaximHealthcare provide behavioral support and caregiving needs for children andadults with behavioral disabilities. Mental Health Techs work closely with theBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement the behavioral care planand keep track of the clients’ progress through each session.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mental Health Techs work with children andadults with developmental delays and/or challenging behaviors. They implementthe behavioral care plan designed and maintained by a BCBA and gather   datanecessary for the Clinical Supervisor to improve the efficacy of the care plan.The Mental Health Tech assists family members in maintaining the client athome. This includes relieving the family members from basic self-help needs andother activities of daily living, including interaction, socialization, andcontinuation of daily routines which family members would ordinarily perform.Some additional activities of daily living may include; safety supervision,ambulation assistance, meal prep, feeding, toileting, bathing, and dressing.

•            Followsthe instructions of the BCBA/program supervisor

•            Providesbehavior assistance/interventions to assigned clients

•            Providesbehavior support services

QUALIFICATIONS:

•            HighSchool diploma or equivalent required

•            Minimumof one (1) year of experience working with individuals with disabilities, includingindividuals with severe or challenging behaviors

•            CurrentCPR/ First Aid certification

•            UpdatedTB test

•            Mustbe at least 18 years of age
