Maxim Healthcare Services is proud to recognize Caitlin Drumel as our 2024 National Behavioral Caregiver of the Year! Our Caregiver of the Year program awards nurses, caregivers and behavioral health professionals who embody our values and demonstrate excellence. Mackenzie Quiroz, Business Development Manager and Caitlin’s nominator, shared, “From day one, she has encompassed Maxim’s core value of elevating care to empower lives.”

Caitlin joined Maxim two years ago as a behavior technician in our Carlsbad, CA Regional Office. Within just seven months, Caitlin excelled to a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position. She is currently in school pursuing her master’s degree in an applied behavior analysis (ABA) program and plans to eventually become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Caitlin’s personal background led her to her career path. Her mother works in hospice care, her little sister has autism and at one point she worked as a babysitter for two children who had cognitive disabilities. Empathy and understanding are two values from Caitlin’s background that she showcases when working with clients.

Jamie Christman, Clinical Manager and Caitlin’s supervisor, wrote, “Caitlin’s positivity, empathy, creativity and understanding set her apart in the field. She approaches each case with a genuine compassion and a thoughtful, innovative mindset that greatly enhances the care we provide. Her ability to connect with clients and their families has earned her widespread admiration and respect.”

She often reaches out to her office and goes out of her way to offer her assistance. If anyone is in need, or there has been a cancellation, Caitlin steps up.

In addition to the COTY award, Caitlin is part of the 2024 Frontline Honors Class in the behavioral health category. This achievement recognizes exemplary character and performance of frontline workers across the care continuum.
