Today, we recognize Maxim Healthcare Services’ 35th anniversary. Maxim was founded in 1988 in response to a national nursing shortage and has grown to provide home healthcare services in over 35 states.

At Maxim, our mission is to enhance the quality of life within our communities. We do this by providing quality care to our patients and their families – helping them manage their conditions and live the fullest life possible. As we grow and move into the future, we are committed to winning together and fulfilling a mission that goes beyond any one person.

We are grateful that we have been able to make an impact on so many families in our 35 years, serving around 43,000 last year alone. Our nurses and caregivers also benefit from working in one-on-one settings. Gerayne Yelkin, RN, our 2020 Caregiver of the Year, shared, “It’s rewarding to see and care for someone who is able to stay in their own home with their loved ones because of the nursing care provided. Focusing on one patient at a time and looking for ways to improve their quality of life each day is both interesting and something I enjoy.”

Our team of nurses and home health aides bring a comprehensive group of services to our community, including private duty nursing, skilled and personal care to children, adults and military-connected individuals. Our behavioral team provides ABA and habilitation services in home, school and community environments.

A huge part of our longevity is due to our people. At Maxim, we are dedicated to creating a culture that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion by recognizing, respecting and celebrating our differences, encouraging everyone we employ and serve to be their authentic selves. As part of this, our employees can participate in affinity groups, diversity and inclusion trainings and committees.

Employees can also participate in various continuing education opportunities – both in-house and through our partnerships with colleges and universities. We recognize their efforts through award and recognition programs, including Healthcare Recruiter Recognition Day, Field Support Recognition Day, Client Coordinator Recognition Day and Nurses Week.

As we reflect on 35 years, we are so grateful to the communities that have welcomed us, the families we have served and the team members who help drive our mission. Here’s to more years of providing quality care!

We’re always looking for dedicated individuals to help us pursue our mission. Visit our careers site to learn more about life at Maxim and view our current openings. If you or a loved one need care, visit our care services page to see a comprehensive list of Maxim’s offerings.
