The enhanced caregiver benefits program

Last year, Maxim’s leadership held roundtable discussions with caregivers, nurses and behavior specialists to learn about their experiences at Maxim and get their input on company benefits. The leadership team listened to this feedback and crafted an enhanced program with personalized benefits and awards.

Chief Human Resources Officer Laura Coulombe commented, “Thanks to the voices and advocacy of our dedicated, hardworking caregivers and team members, we were able to significantly enhance the benefits we offer while incorporating the changes our employees wanted to see.”

The enhanced benefits program includes increased paid time off, access to a health savings account and the launch of a brand new awards program – MaxCares. The MaxCares program is unique and offers caregivers the flexibility to tailor an additional benefit for themselves. This could include cash bonuses or additional PTO, as an example.

In addition to these enhanced benefits, we are pleased to continue offering ongoing educational opportunities in collaboration with universities, up to $5,250 in education assistance annually and in-house clinical training. Our comprehensive package includes weekly pay, 401(k) retirement programs and flexible scheduling options. We also take pride in honoring our caregivers through the annual Caregiver of the Year Award, celebrating their dedication and outstanding contributions to delivering quality care to the patients and families we serve.

In addition to upgrading our benefits, we have prioritized our caregivers’ ongoing training and development. Our investment of over $600,000 has allowed us to acquire 3,000 medical devices for our clinical skill labs, ensuring that we are always advancing and improving.
