Military and federal support
Our dedicated team provides private duty nursing and continuous care tailored to the unique needs of military and federal personnel—delivered with compassion and professionalism.
Personal caregiving
Our qualified and compassionate caregivers work to keep you and your loved ones healthy and safe by providing assistance with many different personal care activities. Our personal care services are available 24/7 and tailored to meet our patient’s individual needs.
Private duty nursing
Private duty nursing allows medically fragile patients to receive quality, skilled nursing care in the comfort of their home. Our patients and families have access to on-call support 24/7.

A trusted partner of the California Regional Centers
Maxim has been a contracted provider with Regional Centers in California for over 20 years – providing various services to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. California’s Regional Centers are a network of state-funded organizations which ensure individuals with developmental disabilities receive the services and support they need to live healthy lives.
Personal assistance
Specially designed for people transitioning into adulthood and older individuals, our personal assistance program assigns a qualified and compassionate caregiver to help clients perform various daily tasks and access their communities. These services are tailored to meet our client’s individual needs and are available up to 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
Personal assistants can help with:
- Assisting with and attending appointments and events
- Shopping and errands
- Attending college and after-school programs
- Pet care
- Stand-by assistance with walking and transfers
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Sitter services in-home or in a facility
- Homemaker support
In-home respite
Caring for a loved one with a developmental disability can be overwhelming. Our respite program lets families take a break knowing that their child is being cared for in the familiarity of home. Our screened and trained caregivers can be scheduled at the patient or family’s request.
Some families prefer to have someone they already know, such as a neighbor, friend or relative, provide respite care authorized by the Regional Center. Maxim can hire and train these individuals so the family’s person of choice can be a paid respite caregiver.
Intensive behavior support
Maxim’s intensive behavior support program provides respite relief to primary caregivers of individuals with challenging behaviors. A board-certified behavior analyst designs a care plan for each client and performs regular supervisory visits with all direct care staff to ensure the safety and success of our client and team.
Our thoughtful and caring approach allows us to provide services to families that have struggled in other environments and programs.
California Regional Centers provide a variety of specialty programs designed to meet the individual needs of each family. To learn more about programs available in your area, please get in touch with your local Maxim office or your Regional Center’s service coordinator.
