Liselotte Penix Honored for Life-Enriching Behavioral Care of Young Patient

COLUMBIA, Maryland– Certified Behavior Technician Liselotte Penix has been named a Regional Caregiver of the Year by Maxim Healthcare Services (Maxim), a national provider of home healthcare, personal and behavioral care.

Penix was selected by a panel of judges for her impactful contributions to the home healthcare community. This honorable recognition is part of Maxim’s Caregiver of the Year Award program, which celebrates nurses, home healthcare aides, and behavioral direct care workers. These employees play a vital role in providing compassionate, holistic care to our patients, both those who are medically fragile and those who require behavioral and community support.

“Liselotte embodies compassion and grace, and every day she makes such a difference in the lives of her patients and their families,” said Juliana Bogataj the Business Development Manager who nominated Penix. “We are incredibly proud to have Liselotte as part of the Maxim team and we congratulate her for this much deserved recognition.”

With years of industry experience and a master’s degree in mental health counseling, Penix has served Maxim for five years and works out of the Tacoma Behavioral office. Penix approaches each of her clients with warmth, kindness and compassion, while also bringing tremendous knowledge about the field. All of the families who Penix has worked with praise her for not only how she interacts with their children, but also the exponential progress she has made with them. Penix is not only dependable, but committed and is known for planning her time off around her client’s ABA schedules.

“Liselotte is always kind, professional, and is highly appreciated by our clinical team and staff,” said Justin Krzmarzick, Clinical Manager of the local Maxim office. “We all agree that she is one of the best Maxim has to offer, and we can always count on her to deliver high quality of care.”

Penix is one of four regional award winners and was selected from hundreds of nominations from across the country. She will be presented with the award during a ceremony on September 19, 2023, where the company will also announce the national winner who will receive Maxim’s John “Doc” Langley National Caregiver of the Year Award.
