Cleveland-based nurse Pam Robinette receives prestigious honor for life-enriching care of patients
COLUMBIA, Maryland– Maxim Healthcare Services (Maxim), a national provider of continuous skilled nursing services and personal and behavioral care, announced today that Pam Robinette, RN has been named a Regional Caregiver of the Year. This honorable recognition is part of Maxim’s Caregiver of the Year Award program, which celebrates nurses, home healthcare aides, and behavioral direct care workers for their impactful contributions to the home healthcare community.
“Our caregivers play a vital role in providing compassionate, holistic care to our patients,” said Maxim’s Chief Executive Officer, Jarrod DePriest. “We care for some of the nation’s most medically fragile patients including those who require behavioral and community support. We are so grateful for Pam’s dedication and the difference she makes every day in the lives of her patients and their families.”
Robinette was selected from hundreds of nominations across the country for the life-enriching care she provides for her patients. She has worked for Maxim for 17 years, and currently cares for a medically complex 14-year-old patient who has Down syndrome, as well as an adult patient who suffered from a traumatic brain injury. Her colleagues and patients’ families describe Robinette as an exemplary, compassionate nurse. Cecelia Wyman, Recruitment Operations Manager for Maxim said, “Pam treats everyone with dignity and respect. She is exactly the type of nurse that you want to care for your loved ones.”
In addition to providing dedicated patient care, Robinette is an excellent educator. She has trained several of Maxim’s new nurses on adult care, and routinely works extra shifts when there are openings to ensure her patients always have the care they need. Most recently, Robinette provided ongoing and consistent IV care for a patient, so the patient could remain home after a hospitalization. The patient was permitted to stay home because of the care Robinette and a team of nurses provided. Not only did Robinette lead the care team, but she also helped train and supervise the other nurses on IV administration and care.
“Pam is always so kind, professional, and is highly appreciated by our clinical team and staff,” said Colin Petty, Recruitment Operations Manager in the Cleveland, Ohio office who nominated Robinette. “We all agree that she is one of the best Maxim has to offer, and we can always count on her to deliver quality care.”
Robinette has a long tenure working with Maxim, and is motivated every day to go to work and care for others. “I love being a nurse and I love taking care of people,” said Robinette. “I feel like I wake up every morning knowing I can make a difference in the world.”
Robinette will be presented with the award during a special ceremony on April 17, 2024 in Florida. She is also a candidate for Maxim’s John “Doc” Langley National Caregiver of the Year Award which will be announced that same evening.
