Are you a recent college graduate ready to start your career? Maxim’s Recruiter Training Program can get you on the right track. Our program provides comprehensive training in recruiting best practices, as well as insights into job seekers’ needs and developing practical techniques for engaging with them. By working closely with our experienced team members, you’ll gain the skills you need to build a career in this exciting field.

In this article, we’ll dive into the role of healthcare recruiters and the details of Maxim’s Recruiter Training Program.

What do healthcare recruiters do?

Healthcare recruiters focus on recruiting medical professionals to work in care facilities, hospitals, and home health settings. Their responsibilities include reviewing resumes, communicating with job seekers, negotiating hiring agreements, conducting interviews and running background checks.

At Maxim, our recruiters hire for our skilled and personal care services and take on a variety of tasks, including:

  • Developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract, screen and hire quality healthcare professionals
  • Using various recruitment tools and methods to source and attract a pool of qualified and diverse candidates
  • Managing caregivers and staff on assignment
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with patients, their families and referral sources
  • Building and cultivating relationships with industry contacts to gain industry knowledge, referrals and business development leads

What are the requirements to become a Maxim Healthcare Services recruiter?

The minimum requirements to be a Maxim recruiter vary by office but generally include:

  • An undergraduate degree in business, marketing, management, communications, public relations or healthcare administration. Alternatively, you can be a licensed RN.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A high standard of professionalism

Because you’ll spend a lot of time interacting with other team members and speaking with potential nurses, our recruiters benefit from having a positive attitude and a strong sense of teamwork and community.

Many of our recruiters join us right out of college without any other experience in healthcare recruiting, so don’t worry if you don’t have any experience in the healthcare industry.
