What is National Intern Day?
Today, July 27, is National Intern Day! National Intern Day allows companies to recognize and thank their interns for all their hard work. National Intern Day also highlights and calls attention to coveted internship programs across the country each year.
Maxim’s headquarters offers a competitive, 10-week summer internship program for undergraduate students across various departments. The internship program hosts a calendar of events to enrich the experience with professional development. Not only does the internship program allow students to learn more about a future career field of interest, but also Maxim’s work.
This summer, Maxim’s headquarters welcomed 16 interns. Let’s meet some of the interns from the 2023 cohort!
Meet Arsenii – Purchasing Intern
Arsenii was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia and lived there until five years ago. Arsenii explained, “I moved to seek a better life, better education and, most importantly, a safer environment.” He noted that one of the biggest differences since moving to the U.S. is the friendliness of strangers.
Arsenii is a University of Maryland, College Park senior studying supply chain management and international business. He plans to use his education to help strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and Russia through international business and trade.
This summer, Arsenii is interning with the Purchasing Department. Out of this internship, he hopes to become better versed in U.S. corporate culture, get experience in supply chain management and meet skilled professionals. Arsenii noted, “I am lucky that Maxim has me this summer!”
